A Wentworth By the Sea Wedding with Elanor & Tim

The New England seacoast is a popular destination for weddings and it's clear to see why. I might be biased but I think it's one of the most picturesque areas in the country! Wentworth By the Sea is one of the premier hotels and wedding venues in the state and they really know how to make a couple's wedding day special. As a photographer I love it as it offers so much to work with. Even in bad weather the inside of the hotel offers great areas to take pictures. Luckily for Elanor and Tim's big day we didn't have to worry about bad weather.

I had shot their engagement photos several months prior and knew they would be great to work with on wedding day. Some people are more comfortable than others in front of the camera and these two had no problems and really gave me some gold throughout the day.

Both Elanor and Tim got ready in the townhomes which are part of the property. It goes without saying that Elanor was stunningly beautiful in her dress with her cascading bouquet of white roses. Her sisters, aunt and mother looked amazing too in gold with their bouquets of red roses. This was my first Lebanese wedding so I was excited to see some new traditions and celebrations.

We had no first look so Tim got to see his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle escorted by her dad. The ceremony was outside in front of the hotel in the really pretty garden area. It was challenging to move around as they pack the chairs in there pretty tightly but there are few better backdrops for a ceremony.

The reception was where you could really see more of the lebanese traditions. Elanor and Tim were announced from the back staircase to traditional music complete with sword-wielding gentlemen! I believe this to be called the Lebanese Zaffe. When they reached the dance floor it immediately became a big dance party with all their family and guests which went on for quite a while. The traditional first dance took place later on in the evening.

Lots of pictures were taken during the reception. There's always a lot of candids but there were lots of photos to be taken with the couple and their family and  guests. A lot of the time it was hard to get candids as people would smile at me whenever the camera was pointed their way!

Elanor and Tim had a beautiful cake with red and white roses on it with a custom cake topper with their names and wedding date. After the cutting they partook in the always entertaining bouquet and garter toss. That marked the beginning of the rest of the party! I managed to steal the two away for a couple of night shots in front of the hotel but then it was time to let the party rage on. I'm super excited to be shooting Elanor's sisters wedding this year too.

I hope you enjoy some photos from their day!
