Shannon & Ryan's Cruiseport Celebration

January 30, 2018  •  Leave a Comment

Shannon and Ryan booked with me a LONG time ago in the fall of 2014. After rescheduling and then a postponement we finally had their amazing wedding day in the spring of 2017. It was worth the wait! The weather was warm and clear and that smell of the ocean was in the air. We started off getting ready at the Rockport Inn and Suites then headed to the coast to a spot they had picked out for their "first look" and some formal photos. We even got their dog in for a few. They're family too right!?

The rest of the festivities took place at Cruiseport Gloucester in downtown Gloucester, MA. It was my first time at this venue and it's light and airy with plenty of room for a good size wedding. A section of the main room was curtained off for the ceremony and then cocktail hour took place downstairs while the main room was prepped for the reception.

After the ceremony we took some family photos on the deck then had a chance to take some on the boat that was docked behind the building. I don't get to go on boats with couples very often so I was really excited! Some of my favorite shots of the year came from these two on the boat!

Shannon and Ryan kept everything very clean and classy looking for their decor. It was really nice. It struck me as something that would stand the test of time and never look outdated. There were some really touching toasts before dinner and then the rest of the night was a great party. I don't see bouquet and garter tosses too much these days but Ryan certainly went for that garter!! Another super wedding in the books!
