When I meet with couples about their wedding photography one of the biggest things for me and the couple is how well we mesh. This may seem like an obvious thing but it's not always at the top of people's lists. The better the relationship the better the pictures seem to turn out. It's like I always say: I'm here to work WITH you, not just FOR you. We're a team.
I'd like to think a prime example of this is the relationship I developed with Amber and Matt. After our first meeting it couldn't have been an hour before Amber emailed saying that they liked how we got along and that her and Matt would like to book me. I was surprised but knew the meeting went well.
We had a great time at their engagement shoot and then, about a year later, it was wedding time! I was a little nervous going in as there was quite a large bridal party so I came prepared to tackle formal shots with 20 people (including Amber and Matt). Ideas often come to me at the time and one spot we utilized was a concrete wall by the loading dock of all places. A little strange but it actually turned out really well and matched their colors!
From Amber getting ready to the sparkler exit at the end of the night, it was a fantastic celebration and I was really happy to be a part of their day. I hope you enjoy some highlights and I wish them all the best in the future and look forward to staying in touch.
